A utility company is blaming squirrels for knocking out power for thousands of people over the weekend in Montana, reports said.
NorthWestern Energy, a natural gas and energy company, said utility workers discovered a squirrel in one of the company’s substations, NBC Montana reported. Medium Voltage Dry Type Transformers
Montana Public Radio reported that three squirrels were responsible for some 14,500 losing power.
Medium Voltage Substation Crews restored power in about 45 minutes, NBC reported.
